Preston Urdu forum celebrated Seerat-un-Nabi ceremony (Birth day of Prophet Muhammad PBUH) on 15th of February 2011 at University campus. Function started with the recitation of Holy Quran followed by Hamd and Naat. Mr. Sarwar Hussain co-ordinator of forum described that Quran and Sunnah both are equally important for a Muslim to acquire Emaan (faith). Dr. Waseem Head of Islamic studies department advised the students to follow the Islamic way of life it will lead to success. Director General Mr. R.S. Hussain said highest love for the Prophet (PBUH) is made a test of our faith. From the students Maimoona Saleem, Madhia Saeed, Javeria, Madhia Khurseed, Ayesha Tariq, and Mohammad Waleed gave speeches and participated in the function. Director General distributed the prizes to the winners of Essay Writing competition and to the best speakers. Faculty, staff and students attended the event in large strength.
