Alaa Mehmood, an alumnus of Preston University - Ajman recently visited the Interior Design Department and delivered a very interesting presentation on how to do home makeovers. Many students were eager to attend the lecture and it turned out to be a very exciting day for them. She discussed the challenges she faced, techniques on how to renovate a small room, how to start an interiors business, how to deal with people, and how to accomplish goals in life. She is an Islamic Studies graduate but she had a passion to do interiors for her home as well as for others. She started by changing the position of the furniture in her apartment and then at those of her friends, and ended up making it her job. She has plans to launch her own label – Lamasaty which is all about making changes in a beautiful manner. She deals with women and her work is dedicated to women only. We wish her the best of luck in her future projects.
