Students of Interior Design visited Ramada Downtown on 27th May 10 to observe the interior of the hotel. They were accompanied by Mrs.Ayesha, Mr. Nauman, Mr.Prakash and Ms.Alma.
At the hotel entrance Mr. Walter, Mr.Roger and Ms.Ivy were appointed to guide the students through the hotel. The students were divided in three groups and each group was accompanied by one guide.
The students who have studied the courses related to principles and elements of art took particular interest to connect their course material to an actual interior environment.
One of the main features of the hotel was its location which overlooked the exquisite landscape including the elegantly tall structure of Burj Khalifa. Another equally important element was the functional use of space within the hotel lobby and corridors.
All the students were given a week´s time to prepare their reports regarding the outcome of their study tour. The best of these reports are kept in the department for further reference.
