Synergy comes from the Greek word sunergia, meaning cooperation, and also sunergos, which means working together. These apply to the concept of working together between the alma mater and the alumni which leads to a continuous and harmonious relationship and to practice the highest ethical standards where providing services to the community. The Preston University, Ajman Alumni Services office is the principal link between the University and its alumni. It coordinates the academic programs of the different departments to continuously strengthen its relationship with both public and private organizations plus other agencies, including the alumni. It covers the promotion, facilitation, and assessment of both domestic and international linkages, which benefit the University in terms of improved resources, academic enrichment, and adherence to global standards of the curricula as well as faculty expertise. In terms of alumni relations, the Alumni Committee coordinates with the Preston University, Ajman Alumni Association on its programs and activities, and updates alumni members regarding the University. It also solicits from them any forms of assistance that will help achieve the University’s vision and attain its goals.
The Alumni Committee
The Alumni Committee is led by an Alumni Coordinator and reports to the Director General. The committee is part of the Preston University, Ajman Student Services and Affairs office. Its duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. Create and manage major programs for the Preston University- Ajman Alumni Association. 2. Establishes a strong relationship with all Preston University, Ajman Alumni. 3. Regularly update alumni profiles by continuously conducting tracer studies. 4. Promote, organize, and coordinate activities that reflect social, economic, and political priorities in accordance with University’s mission and goals. 5. Develop programs for University corporate social responsibility and community outreach programs. 6. Submit the annual report to the Director General through the Alumni Coordinator.

Preston University- Ajman Alumni Services has major strategies to enhance its programs and projects. These include: a) Linkages and Partnership- To align with Preston University’s vision, “Reaching New Heights in Global Education,” the alumni are the living endowment for continuous acquisition of knowledge, attitudes, skills, and values. Preston University- Ajman Alumni Services strives to create a vital bond that is unique and encompassing in its ability to engage, involve, and sustain its alumni in a lifelong relationship with their alma mater.
