Preston University - Ajman celebrated UAE National Day on December 1, 2010. It was a day of pride and pleasure intended to honor the country we live in. It was a joyous occasion to celebrate its 39 years of existence. A country which has given us everything we desire, from the brilliant-minded rulers to a luxurious life we could only dream of; from top - level education centers to the most entertaining picnic spots. From the world's tallest building - Burj Khalifa to the beautiful Palm Islands; the best ways to travel like riding Metro Trains to the world of snow -- Ski Dubai -- the list is endless. Students gathered for the National Anthem of United Arab Emirates followed by videos showing how the UAE has grown from past to present. One of our local student Muhannat, got the owner of Falcons, Saif, who brought three Falcons (the UAE national bird) for everyone to admire. They quickly became a feathered attraction. Students and staff enjoyed having photos taken while posing with a falcon. There was also a best dressed competition where students walked the ramp to showcase their traditional UAE attire. It was a fun-filled day with lots of enjoyment experienced by all.
