3 in 1 Package

This three-in-one event took place on Thursday, 20 May 2010 and clearly revived everyone at the Preston-Ajman campus with fun and enjoyment. It was a grand musical event coupled with a product launch by students of Dr. Luis and Dr. Shaimah plus a Blood Donation Campaign. The themes of the day were spread all throughout the University to let people enjoy every bit of their time by sampling different kinds of food and grooving to the beat of the music they like.

The musical event took place inside the gymnasium where there were various dances and performances organized for students by Mr. Omar and Mr. Qaiser. It all started with the Dhol Dhamaka who rocked everyone by going around the University and making everyone dance to the tunes of his music. Then we heard our Filipino band Haiki Crush, a Palestine performance, Syrian dance, the D-tone band, a Punjabi number by Deepak, a pop number by Sajjad, Surge-the Band, Junk and Funk, and DJ Hamza. This was followed by a short presentation displayed by Ms. Saadiya which showed the preparations of the event and thanked every worker and participant who put in an effort for this amazing show. Overall, each performer made sure that the students were entertained in every aspect. This event took place during both the morning and evening.

Meanwhile, we had blood donation campaign going on where 65 individuals donated their blood in order to save lives. Along with this, students put up approximately 28 stalls around the University campus to attract participants to try and buy different food items and other products they had for sale. These were rated and judged by our faculty and staff members, including Dr. Sangeetha, Mr. Naveed, Mr. Ibrahim, Mrs. Nazia and Ms. Nisreen. The categories were best stall design, best product and pricing, best customer relationship, best poster design and most disciplined group. There was a surprise visit by RJ Neha from FM 94.7 who gave-away free tickets to newly released movies. She played some of the games with our students and enjoyed her visit with us. The whole occasion turned out to be a successful event for all the students who enjoyed their time donating, eating, singing and dancing with friends and colleagues.
